NIDA is an innovating non invasive prenatal study that detects the presence of fetus aneuploidies. This test can be conducted from week 10th of pregnancy, analyzing fetal DNA present in the mothers’ blood and obtaining information on the number of copies of chromosomes 21, 13, 18, X and Y.
All validation studies performed until now have demonstrated the high accuracy of this non invasive test, that presents a detection rate of fetal chromosome aneuploidies 21, 13, 18, X and Y higher than 99% and a percentage of false positives lower than 2% with an approximate precision of 99%.
